Music

I've added a music section to the site. You can access it via the menu at the top right.

A short while ago I posted a thread on GONEboarding inquiring about albums/bands that people have discovered through a song from a snowboarding film. I figured it would be a good idea to collect my findings here on afterbang. If anyone has any recommendations I'll be happy to check them out and then list with acknowledgement.

I've also started a soundtrack reference as people seem to find these useful!

While I've yet to check out these guys' albums, a few stand-outs for me are:

"Heartbeat" by Annie, taken from Transfer (and another DVD?). Another track of hers, "Always Too Late" is pretty cool too, but has a totally different vibe.

"Yours To Keep" by Teddybears STHLM, taken from Afterlame.

"A.M. 180" by Grandaddy, taken from 91 Words For Snow.

Of course, there are plenty of other quality tunes kicking around, but most of them are by bands I already knew and loved e.g. Doves, Air, Bloc Party, etc.

Dude, Yours To Keep is an excellent song! I've actually got the Teddybears' album, but I've only listened to it the once. Expect a comment on that sometime soon!
