Picking the right size for your new snowboard isn't easy. There are so many variables to take into consideration, and when you're new to snowboarding, you don't really know how to make the choice. Does it really matter that much? Is it my height or my weight that I should be using as a guide? What's the difference between a beginner board and other, normal boards?
Yes, there are a lot of questions, and this can lead to anxiety - after all buying a new snowboard is expensive, so you don't want to get it wrong!
Well, help is at hand. I've written an article addressing the issue of how to calculate snowboard size, on the updated afterbang blog. Head over there (if anyone is still reading this site) and check it out. Don't forget to add your comments: are you having problems? are there things that are unclear? do you have an easy rule for how to pick the right snowboard?
Cheers.

Snowboard Tricks

Snowboard Tricks - that's a huge subject, so much to learn, so much to practice, so much to watch... What's the best way to learn? What safety equipment do I need? What are the different tricks called? Should I get lessons, or some video tuition... Well, on the wordpress version of this site, which is now essentially dormant, there's a hub page dedicated to Snowboard Tricks. Check it out. Make a trick list, make a short video with your friends from the park or from jibbing around the piste. It's all good fun. Snowboarding is good fun.
